At our KJA Najjanankumbi, every day is an adventure! We believe learning should be full of smiles, laughter, and moments that make each child feel special. With small class sizes, caring teachers, and friends all around, our campus is a place where everyone belongs. We love celebrating big and small moments—whether it’s a birthday, a silly dress-up day, or earning a spot in our 4s Club! Here, children get to explore, lead, and shine while surrounded by a mix of languages, stories, and cultures that make our school feel like one big happy family.

Celebrations and Special Days

We love to make school fun and memorable! At our Nursery and Primary levels, we celebrate children’s birthdays with joy. We also host exciting Cultural Days and Spirit Days like Jajjas Day, Academic Fair, and even “Wear Mommy or Daddy’s Clothes” Day! These fun events bring smiles, laughter, and a sense of belonging to our school family.

Weekly Morning Assemblies.

Every week begins with a school-wide morning assembly full of music, prayer, and positive energy. We share important announcements, go over the weekly agenda, and give children a chance to build confidence by leading songs, prayers, or short presentations.

The 4s Club – Celebrating Achievement.

Our reward system, the 4s Club, recognizes students who excel in academics, behavior, and participation. At the end of each term, members of the 4s Club are celebrated with a special party. It’s our way of saying, “Well done – keep shining!”.

Languages spoken (English + Chinese + Swahili or other).

At our school, we are proud to celebrate the diversity of languages spoken by both our staff and students. While English is the primary language used for teaching and communication, many of our teachers and children also speak a variety of local languages such as Luganda, Runyankore, Rukiga, Lusoga, Langi, and Acholi. Additionally, some staff members are fluent in French, Chinese and Swahili, further enriching our school community.

Student Leadership and Prefects.

We believe in nurturing leadership from a young age. Our primary section has a prefect body with posts such as Head Monitor, Head Girl, Head Boy, and class prefects. These student leaders help set a good example, assist in school duties, and represent their classmates with pride and responsibility.

We proudly host chess grandmasters, who works closely with our young players to develop their skills. Our students actively compete in top events like the Annual National Mathematics Contest, NCBA Uganda Open, US Kids Golf, the National Junior Chess Championship, and the Africa Youth Chess Championship. Some of our talented chess enthusiasts even represent us at the FIDE World Youth Chess Championship, proudly showcasing their skills on the global stage. We are also honored to celebrate achievements beyond academics and sports, including our students’ participation in prestigious events such as Little Miss Universe, where they shine with confidence and grace.
